Kyoto adopted a new mid-term climate change action plan in 2021. That plan includes ambitious 46% emission reduction targets off 2013 levels by 2030. This case study suggests that systems that combine solar photovoltaic (PV) and electric vehicles (EV) could yield sizable co-benefits while helping reach 2030 reduction targets in Kyoto.
